Our client is a global manufacturer of global and subsystem devices with manufacturing, design, and testing facilities in all major international markets.   Global employment figures are approximately 3,400 people. 

The company is comprised of several business units supplying electronic components and systems to manufacturers of networking and information processing equipment, voice & data communication systems and consumer electronics, industrial, military, automobile and aerospace applications.   As part of the company’s, ongoing growth and development, they are currently recruiting for number positions.   The Home Appliance Division is seeking to appoint a EU Sales Manager. 

Ideally the person will be based in either Germany or Italy and will have a specific knowledge of these markets as the principle “home appliance” manufacturing companies have operations there. 

The position will report into the VP for Europe who is based in Germany.   Candidates are required to have specific experience of selling into Consumer Appliance manufacturing sector in Germany and other markets in Europe. 

• Build profitable networks and good business relationships with decision makers at the principle home appliances manufacturing companies

• A professional B2B sales approach to qualify, manage and win complex sales opportunities

• Participate in trade fairs, industry seminars, other events and direct marketing campaigns

• Achievement of agreed business targets and objectives (e.g. design in wins, sales, retention etc)

• Participate in new product development projects with internal and external stakeholders

• Report regularly on home appliance competitor and market activity

• Manage current customers and identify new key account targets to form long-term business relationships.

  • Fluency in business English
  • Previous sales management experience in consumer electronics sector is essential
  • Technical qualifications along with commercial acumen is an advantage
  • An ability to interact with internal and external commercial and technical groups is critical
